Almost everything you read about online dating safety is directed at women but men should worry, too. Perverts, sexual predators and weirdoes come in both sexes, all sizes and all ages ... as do, liars and cheats. So men must remain on guard.
It is common knowledge not to readily give out personal information to strangers. The reason for not doing so is as large as the number of foreigners who want this information. If you encounter a person who provides personal information and asking others to do the same thing, do not. You do not know what they want to use it, and you better believe they want to use it for anything. That "something" will not be to your advantage. Men also need to protect their real names, addresses, telephone numbers and employment. Do not give this information to anyone online until you are sure they are who they say they are.
Men, beware of women who seem too financially needy. If they ask for money, one of the dozen women can ask for money, cut the relationship immediately. They are not looking for love or even friendship. They are seeking financial assistance.
If a woman gives you a phone number, but you can never reach him at that number, beware. If a page is always or text them and they will call you back, this may be a sign that what they are saying is not the whole truth.
Need to get married and insecurity are other signs men should be very cautious. If the woman is pushing too hard for a commitment that they are unwilling to do, might be a good time to head for the nearest exit.
